Every Friday at Cross Country Cafe we host a flavor review. Let’s face it the selection of K-cups we have to choose from is huge, how do you pick the right one? Who wants to buy an entire box and not like it?! Our goal is to describe how the coffee or tea tastes in simple layman’s terms so that you can determine if it suits your preferences.
Let’s get to the review, up this week…Lake and Lodge.
Lake and Lodge is a dark roast Keurig Kcup coffee with a smooth body that lacks the burnt or bitter taste you would expect from a dark roast. I actually did not know where Lake and Lodge ranked on the roasting scale until after I drank it. By taste alone I would have been willing to bet it was a medium roast. With that said there is still the presence of a certain boldness without being overwhelming.
This Kcup coffee would be a great every morning cup, it is easy to drink and will appeal to most Keurig users. I am reminded of a donut shop brew with this Kcup coffee, containing nice of depth without going overboard.
Our friend Jason at Coffeecupnews.com reviewed Lake and Lodge sometime ago, lets see what he has to say-after all 2 opinions are better than one!
