If you have been around awhile you have come to know (and hopefully love) our Monday K-cup coffee recipes. I love fun, easy to make coffee drinks. They are a simple indulgence that can usually be made with ingredients already in your kitchen. There will be no running to the local coffee shop around here, no sir, we have Keurig’s in our kitchen that make these recipes easy peasy.
Up this week…Gingerbread Latte.
Tis the season, the delicious flavors of the holidays have arrived! It is time to indulge, great food and warm, cozy drinks are one of the best things about this time of year! Gingerbread is and always has been one of my favorites. It is a classic and will be part of my holiday celebration (for many weeks before and after!). In my constant search for new Keurig Kcup coffee recipes, I was elated when I found a Gingerbread Latte and of course quickly modified it to my liking : )
Ready for the recipe?
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp ginger
1/8 tsp ground cloves (this is optional, I put cloves in pretty much everything!)
2 tsp mollases
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup steamed milk (preferably whole)
1 Gingerbread Keurig Kcup brewed on lowest water setting
Mix everything except for the Gingerbread coffee in a blender. Pour into a large microwave safe mug. Heat to desired temperature. In the meantime, brew the Gingerbread Kcup coffee on the lowest water setting of your Keurig brewer into a measuring cup or gravy bowl-anything that you can pour out of easily. You can now pour the brewed coffee into your heated milk mixture. Top with cinnamon, shaved white chocolate, whipped cream or all of the above!
Gingerbread is a seasonal Keurig K-cup coffee usually available from Thanksgiving until New Years. It is a light roast coffee that is fair trade certified. Gingerbread coffee not only smells amazing and tastes like heaven, it leaves you feeling cozy and warm : )
