Keurig K-cup Recipes-Layered Mocha Latte

Posted on Mon, Nov 19, 2012

If you have been around awhile you have come to know (and hopefully love) our Monday K-cup coffee recipes.  I love fun, easy to make coffee drinks. They are a simple indulgence that can usually be made with ingredients already in your kitchen.  There will be no running to the local coffee shop around here, no sir,  we have Keurig’s in our kitchen that make these recipes easy peasy.

Up this week… K-cup Layered Cafe Mocha Latte.

K-cup Layered Cafe Mocha Latte

This delicious recipe combines two of my favorite coffee-house drinks- Cafe Mocha and Cafe Latte,  frothy steamed milk, rich chocolate syrup combined with a deep, dark roast coffee…I think I have died and gone to heaven!

Let’s get to the recipe…

-Your favorite dark roast or extra bold Keurig K-cup (I chose the new value priced French Roast by Diedrich Coffee.)

-4 ounces of milk-  this is a treat people- not a time to count calories,  use whole milk for a thicker froth.

-3-4 tablespoons of chocolate syrup (or 5-6 in my case).

Gather 2 large mugs, a blender and of course your Keurig brewer.  Prepare your K-cup coffee on the lowest water setting into mug #1. While the coffee is brewing,  heat the milk in the microwave and then froth it in your blender for one minute.  Fill 3/4 of mug #2 with the warm, frothed, milk. Pour the chocolate syrup into the center of the milk. Slowly pour the brewed K-cup coffee from mug #1 into mug #2.

You must garnish with chocolate shavings, sprinkles or cinnamon… its makes it look so much prettier : )

Viola,  you have a gorgeous coffee-house  quality treat made in your own home for a fraction of the cost! You are welcome.
