If you have been around awhile you have come to know (and hopefully love) our Monday K-cup coffee recipes. I love fun, easy to make coffee drinks. They are a simple indulgence that can usually be made with ingredients already in your kitchen. There will be no running to the local coffee shop around here, no sir, we have Keurig’s in our kitchen that make these recipes easy peasy.
Up this week..Mulled Apple Cider.
It's apple picking time- that means only one thing- apple cider! But, don't worry there will be no ladders or climbing trees for us, Keurig has made our lives a little easier with ultra convenient, ultra delicious Apple Cider Kcups! We will use their already prepared apple cider in our recipe and kick it up a notch (or two)!
You will need:
1 cinnamon stick
1 dash of cloves
1 dash of nutmeg
1/2 of an orange peel
1 T maple syrup
1 Hot Apple Cider Keurig Kcup
-Start by brewing your Hot Apple Cider Keurig Kcup on the highest water setting of your brewer. I know this is the oppisite of what I usually say but, this particular Kcup tends to taste a little bitter with less water.
-Add all ingredients including the brewed Hot Apple Cider Kcup to a sauce pan and let simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
(Your house will smell amazing at this point!)
-Pour into a large mug.
Head out to enjoy on a crisp morning or stay in and cuddle up under your favorite blanket.
Mulled apple cider is a favorite fall tradition in my family. Our kids love the taste and look forward to it every year! I hope that your family will enjoy it just as much as mine.
