Vermont Country Blend is a medium roast, Fair Trade certified Kcup coffee brought to us by the experts at Green Mountain Coffee. Vermont Country Blend is their signature roast. This delightful coffee offers a combination of both light and dark roast beans, leaving us with a perfectly balanced, easy to drink cup of coffee.
Some coffee snobs tend to look down at blended coffees (more than one origin). Being the simple common folk that I am, don't particularly understand that. Blends combine all of the best aspects of coffees of different regins. The result is balance and depth highlighted by complimentary characteristics. That is certainly the case with Vermont Country Blend Keurig Kcup coffee.
I brewed my Vermont Country blend Kcup on the highest water setting of my Keurig. Pure unadulterated coffee smell filled the air. The higher water setting resulted in a cup with just a hint of translucency.
One word that would describe my first thought when I sipped this Kcup was smooth. This is a very easy to drink cup of coffee that has a silk like mouth feel. So much that I skipped the cream, I simply did not find it necessary.
The dark roast beans provide a mellow, toasty taste complimented by the crisp, bright taste of the lighter beans- creating the a perfect happy medium. Many medium roast coffees tend to come up flat with no depth or personality. Vermont County Blend has managed to defy that cliche offering us a blend that will appeal to the masses.
As a matter of fact, i quite honestly would recommend this Kcup to anyone. It has a smooth enough mouth feel and lack of bitterness that the light and medium roast drinkers will be satisfied. On the other hand there are enough layers and lingering tastes to appeal to the dark roast fans.
Correct me if I am wrong but, I think this is the first Kcup that I have recommended to all coffee drinkers! That tells me that someone really knew what they were doing when they created this signature blend.
