I have come to realize half of my family is addicted to Shamrock Shakes and we are going broke as a result. Thankfully, I learned to make them at home (4 scoops of vanilla ice cream, 3/4 cup vanilla almond milk, green sugar and blend) so we don't have to give up our yearly green treat! But, we aren't here for milkshakes people, on this blog we talk coffee. In this case, Shamrock Mint Mocha!
This easy recipe comes together in no time and requires only three ingredients!
Optional (but, highly recommended):
- green sugar sprinkles
- whipped cream
- Brew your hot cocoa K-Cup® pod on the lowest water setting of your brewer into a huge mug.
- Next, brew your dark roast K-Cup® pod into the same mug again, using the lowest water setting.
- Next, add 1 tsp of mint extract to your mug and stir.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Sprinkle with a generous portion of green sugar.
My new motto? Milkshakes are for kids, I am having Shamrock Mocha instead! I went from zero to sipping mint chocolatey goodness in about three minutes and the cost was nearly nothing. Shamrock Mocha is a coffeehouse style treat that you can enjoy year round without leaving your kitchen. You do not have to be a barista or Irish for that matter to appreciate how easy it is to make this recipe.
