Curious about Keurig Kold? That makes millions of us.

Kold is the newest brain child of Keurig that has been in the works for several years. Keurig Kold is the result of a meeting of the minds between Keurig and Coca-Cola. Talk about a match made in heaven, if these two iconic companies cant revolutionize the soda industry as we know it, no one can.

Although, they have yet to prove that Keurig Kold is in fact that revolution, it is a darn good start. The reviews are mixed but, the concept is pretty darn cool (no pun intended).

Keurig Kold works very much like the classic Keurig coffee brewers. However, the end product is of course not hot coffee but, ice cold, fizzy soda instead. I should says fizzy sodas, seltzers, iced teas, flavored waters and cocktail mixes. With such famous flavors as Coke, Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper and Canada Dry in addition to little known craft sodas and more. Currently the available Keurig Kold pods include:

Coca Cola/ Coke Zero/ Diet Coke

Canada Dry

Dr. Pepper

Fanta Orange

Flynns Root Beer/ Diet Root Beer

Flynns Vanilla Cream

Flynns Orange Cream/ Diet Orange

Red Barn Cane Cola

Red Barn Craft Soda

Red Barn Lemon Lime

Flyte Red Rush

Flyte Zero Calorie Orange

Flyte Passion Fruit

Flyte Persian Lime

Flyte Lemon Lime Launch

Tierneys Passion Fruit Raspberry

Tierneys Lemon Mint

Tierneys Diet Peach

Waterful Blissful Berry

Waterful Citrus Celebration

Unfortunately, the Kold pods seem to be very hard to come by. But, I am guessing we will see more and more stores carrying at least a small sampling of flavors.

You might be thinking, how is this any different than Soda Stream? Two words...karbonator beads. This my friends, is probably the biggest selling feature of this unit. There is no CO2 tank. The beverages are instead made fizzy by karbonator beads located inside the pod.

There is one other factor that is extremely important when it comes to a refreshing bubbly beverage- temperature. Keurig Kold has that covered with a steady output of 39F degree drinks. This is all made possible by a self contained cooling system that can produce up to 6 - 8 ounce drinks in a row. In addition if you need a higher production of soda, you have the option of entering "party mode" which will allow you to put out more than enough refreshments by simply adding ice to the water reservoir.

The size of the Keurig Kold is a bit troubling to me but, I am not a fan of anything taking up my valuable counterspace.

Keurig Kold is an interesting new concept but, the jury is still out. We are tracking the reviews and responses to formulate an educated opinion and recommendation for you . If you have tried Keurig Kold, please leave a comment we would love to hear what you have to say!
