What are Value Priced Keurig K-cups?

Posted on Thu, Oct 25, 2012

It is very important to clean and maintain your Keurig brewer on a regular basis.  This will prolong the life of your unit and supply you with the best tasting Kcup coffee day after day (or hour after hour if you are anything like me!).  How do you choose the right Kcup and brew it properly?  Are Kcups Kosher? Are Organic Kcups available? Each week we will be educating you on best practices for Keurig brewer care and Kcup brewing.

This weeks installment of Keurig 101  is…What are Value Priced Keurig Kcups?

You may have  been seeing the term “Value Priced Keurig Kcups” lately. Many Keurig distributors have been quite pleased by the recent release of this line of coffee and teas, including us of course!  A few artisan roasters have  released a small variety of lower priced Kcups while maintaining the quality we have come to know and love.

We believe this move is in response to the renegade “Kcup” knock offs that are popping up lot lately.

There are shockingly low priced "K-cups" and several bloggers and other web sites price compare them with Keurig Kcups…to be completely frank… this is absurd.  Some even contain instant coffee.  Yep,  thats right,  instant.  Why you would need instant coffee in a Kcup is beyond me and why you would want to drink it is even more beyond me.  In addition using this product in your Keurig brewer voids the warranty and for good reason-  it is guaranteed to destroy it.  But,  I digress.

We have two lines on the new Value Priced Kcup page on our website. Diedrich Coffee and Twinings Tea.  Two companies that have been around for a VERY long time and have always produced a superior product.

Today,  I wanted to introduce you to the Diedrich Coffee lineup…

First up,  Diedrich French Roast Kcup Coffees:

French Roast Keurig Kcup Coffee is dark and full bodied without tasting burnt or bitter. A hint of toast with a syrupy body and pleasant finish. Diedrich Coffee has become an expert in dark roast Kcups. Producing an exquisite cup of coffee.

Second we have, Diedrich Rio Blend Kcup Coffees:

Diedrich Coffee Rio Blend Keurig Kcup Coffee boasts a creamy body with hints of spice. A hearty medium roast coffee with a satisfying finish.

Last but not least is Diedrich Morning Edition Kcup Coffees:

Morning Edition Keurig Kcup Coffee is perfect everyday morning cup. Similar to a breakfast blend it is bright and crisp, full bodied and satisfying. A medium roast coffee with subtle vanilla hints, spicy aromas and hearty finish.

There is nothing “value priced” about the taste of these coffees.  They are rich, full bodied and satisfying.  Ranging in price from $9.50- $11.49 for a box of 24 makes them taste even better : )
