Homemade Green Tea Latte

My endeavor to drink more Keurig K-cup green tea has been going well but, I needed a change. I needed something to doctor it up a bit and make it more of a treat.  I thought back to my coffee shop days and recalled a popular drink that I actually never tried and I now wish I would have...Green Tea Latte.

I generally do not add milk to my tea (except for Chai Latte).  I just don't see the point, I like the taste so why change it? Well, I was mistaken.  The milk takes a sipping tea up quite a few notches. Make it a latte and you will think you have died and gone to tea heaven!

Let's get to the recipe...

Start by brewing your green tea K-cup on the lowest water setting of your Keurig brewer.  You will need a nice strong tea to maintain the taste after you add the milk.

Next, steam the milk.  You can do this in a variety of ways.  If you are lucky enough to own an electric steamer- more power too you, if not you can use a hand held steaming wand or simply heat the milk in the microwave and mix in a blender for one minute.

Slowly pour the now steamed milk into yournow  brewed K-cup green tea and viola, you have a beautiful green tea latte made with your Keurig brewer! The health benefits of green tea are immense. Green tea latte is just one more tasty way to get those powerful antioxidant working in your body.
