Green Mountain Nantucket Blend Keurig® K-cup® pods contain a medium roast coffee that bears the fair trade seal. Also, this roast is certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union. Green Mountain expertly blended four gourmet coffee beans hailing from three different continents to create this unique roast.

Most exciting of all, Nantucket Blend is the first-ever Keurig® approved recyclable K-Cup® pod! The recent release of this long-needed feature has caused quite a stir and it doesn't end here. Green Mountain will begin shipments of four additional recyclable roasts in the next few weeks with the plan of converting all of their production facilities to manufacture only recyclable Kcup products by 2020.

All of this is well and good but, how does it taste?
I chose to brew my Green Mountain Nantucket Blend K-Cup® pod on the highest water setting of my Keurig® and picked the "strong" option (only available on Keurig® 2.0). The result was a rich-looking cup of joe with slight but minimal translucency just around the edges. Based on appearances, it lined right up with the medium roast label.

As I went in for the first sip, I noticed a pleasant woodsy aroma followed by a bittersweet taste that washed across the front of my tongue, soon followed by chocolaty sweetness on the back end. Nantucket Blend is easy to drink, the four beans seem to play off of each other bringing out all the best qualities of each.

I am not usually a black coffee drinker, I take one sip of black just to get a grasp of all the subtle nuances of the coffee then I add my dash of cream. With Nantucket Blend, for the first time, I was hesitant to do so. It tasted great black. But, through reasoning, I wondered if that meant it would taste even better with cream?

Yes! Just the slightest splash smoothed out any remaining rough spots (which were minimal, to begin with) and brought cohesion to the blend. But don't get me wrong the depth was still prominent, perhaps even amplified. My cream seemed to work as a catalyst for the four coffees to shine even brighter. Bright this coffee is with a touch of sweetness. It is mellow and superbly smooth to drink.

I would recommend Green Mountain Nantucket Blend Keurig® K-Cup® coffee to all coffee drinkers, yes ALL! I am reasonably sure that this is the first cup I believe would satisfy light, medium, and dark roast coffee fans. This K-Cup pod is entirely in the middle that I think both ends of the coffee drinking spectrum would be pleased to drink it.
