Our goal is to describe how the coffee or tea tastes in simple layman’s terms so that you can determine if it suits your preferences. Let’s get to the review, up this week…Breakfast in Bed.

Wolfgang Puck Breakfast in Bed Keurig Kcup coffee

Breakfast in Bed Keurig Kcups are a medium roast, 100% Arabica coffee brought to us by the world-famous chef Wolfgang Puck.

The Wolfgang Puck line of Kcups is very intriguing to me.  If Wolfgang can create amazing gourmet meals, what can he do with coffee? I for one had high hopes.

Although this is a medium roast, based on the name eluding to a breakfast blend type of coffee I expected a very “thin” cup. Boy, was I wrong!

There was a complete lack of translucency in the cup.  Just beautiful dark brown coffee! Even with a dash of cream Breakfast in Bed maintained integrity.

The first sip was tasted woodsy, crisp and clean. I use the term woodsy with apprehension because it is a classic coffee snob term but, in this case it was quite prevalent and could not be avoided! There was a substantial mouthfeel with a satisfying finish.  Breakfast in Bed is clearly not a typical breakfast blend coffee. It is smooth, rich and easy to drink but, it does not have the typical watered down taste of a breakfast blend (fine for most, just not for me).

Just for kicks I decided to try Breakfast in Bed iced.  I felt like it had enough body that it could stand up to the ice and still taste like coffee!

It did indeed do just that.  There was plenty of kick to provide a nice glass of iced coffee but, it was smooth enough to drink black.

I would recommend Wolfgang Puck Breakfast in Blend Keurig Kcup coffee to light and medium roast coffee drinkers. Iced coffee fans, this will work for you as long as you brew on the lowest water setting of your Keurig. Dark roast and flavored lovers, this is not the Kcup for you!
