Back by popular demand- Friday Kcup reviews! Every Friday at Cross Country Cafe we host a flavor review.  Let's face it the selection of K-cups we have to choose from is huge,  how do you pick the right one?  Who wants to buy an entire box and not like it?! Our goal is to describe how the coffee or tea tastes in simple layman's terms so that you can determine if it suits your preferences.

Pumpkin Spice is a light roast, flavored coffee brought to us by the ultimate Kcup authority, Green Mountain coffee. This is a limited edition, seasonal coffee.  Pumpkin Spice is only available in the fall months.

Green Mountain loves to tease us with delicious seasonal Kcups and just when we fall in love they take them away. I think this is torture on one hand and genius on another.  It leaves me looking forward to the arrival of my favorites each season. Pumpkin Spice is clearly a fall must have flavor.

I brewed my Pumpkin Kcup using the middle water setting of my Keurig.

The smell of Pumpkin Spice is to die for.  The overwhelming aroma is of nutmeg and cinnamon. The first sip was very light (this is a true light roast) and extremely flavorful.  Green Mountain did an excellent job of highlighting the spice flavor with hints of pumpkin rather than the other way around.  That attribute accentuates the coffee taste rather than overpowering it with a fake taste.  Although the pumpkin taste was there and quite delightful, it was very nicely limited.

I would definitely recommend this Kcup coffee to light roast and flavored coffee drinkers. Medium, non flavored you may even like this as well.  If you love the taste of nutmeg and cinnamon, you will be in heaven- ahem... Chai drinkers, I am talking to you. Dark roast connoisseurs, this is not the Kcup for you.

Do you enjoy the Green Mountain seasonal Kcups? Which is your favorite?
