This recipe is inspired by my upcoming vacation where I will be sipping cocktails on the sunny shores of the Bahamas! I am so excited and have the laid back, island vibe on my mind. Nothing fits that bill better than the Mexican native- Kahlua.
Many years ago Kahlua and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters partnered in the creation of a unique and delicious Kahlua flavored K-cup coffee. Kahlua is a rum based, coffee flavored liquor from Mexico. Green Mountain sourced just the right beans to accentuate the rum and vanilla flavors when creating this unique K-cup coffee. Oh and don't worry it is alcohol, sugar and calorie free!
Kahlua K-cup coffee tastes great over ice with a dash of milk but, it is still pretty darn cold in my neck of the woods so I am thinkin' latte.
Let's get to the recipe...
You will need:
Hersheys Special dark chocolate syrup
- Start by brewing your Cafe Vanilla K-cup coffee on the lowest water setting of your Keurig into a very large mug.
- Next brew your Kahlua K-cup coffee on the lowest water setting of your Keurig directly into the same mug.
- Top with cool whip.
- Drizzle Hersheys Special dark chocolate syrup on top of the whipped cream.
The hints of dark chocolate taste amazing with the sweet Kahlua flavors. This is a wonderful, decadent treat that can be made in under on minute with your Keurig brewer. It will cost far less than anything you can get at your local coffee shop, you will save a tremendous amount of calories AND most importantly the taste is to die for!
