Folgers Caramel Drizzle is a medium roast, flavored Keurig K-cup coffee. I chose to brew on the highest water setting of my Keurig brewer. I thought that a medium roast K-cup would be able to stand up to a little extra water since I like a nice full mug. In retrospect, I should have chosen the middle water setting. This is a very light, medium roast. As a matter of fact I was convinced it was a light roast until I did a little research. Although it is difficult to see in the photo, there was a generous amount of translucency. Although I could not see the bottom of my mug, I could easily see the sides.
The aroma was amazing as is always with Folgers coffee. The smell of delicious fresh, gourmet coffee filled the air with very slight hints of caramel.
The first sip was surprising, I tasted very little caramel but just enough to accent the flavor of the smooth Folgers coffee. This is perfect for me but, if you like just a bit of coffee with your flavor, this will not be the K-cup for you. I for one am thrilled to not be overpowered by caramel. To me that is this is the way it should be- coffee first accented with a hint of sweetness.
The body of Folgers Caramel Drizzle is thin- as too be expected by the appearance. I would prefer just a but more umph to my coffee. I think that will be easily achieved with the lower water setting.
If you are a light roast K-cup coffee drinker, this one is perfect for you. Fans of flavored coffees, you will like it as well keeping in mind that the caramel is minimal. Medium roast K-cup drinkers- you will be satisfied as long as you use the lower water setting. Sorry dark roast connoisseurs, this is not the K-cup for you.
