With the recent addition of Viennese K-cup coffee to our line of products, I have had Vienna on the mind. As you read in my post reviewing this delicious K-cup, Vienna is famous for their cafes and coffee culture. Their cafe's are also known for unique coffee beverages and recipes including, traditional Vienna Coffee also known as Einspanner.
Einspanner is a simple combination of sweet espresso and rich whipped cream. Although, at this point espresso is not available for the Keurig, Viennese Blend is a suitable replacement.
Let's get to the recipe...
You will need:
- Start by brewing your Viennese K-cup on the lowest water setting of your Keurig brewer.
- Top with a generous amount of whipped cream (I highly recommend homemade but, I did use canned for mine).
- Serve with powdered sugar on the side and a glass of ice water.
Vienna cafes are welcoming and gracious. They will typically serve a glass of ice water with any coffee choice for your refreshment and as an encouragement to linger for as long as you would like.
Have you ever visited a Vienna cafe?
