Keurig_K-cup_coffee_marinated_steakThis recipe goes out to all the dad's out there who love their grill just as much as my husband does!  Next to grilling it seems as if men's next favorite thing ,when it comes to their cooking, is marinade.  The more unique the better, bragging rights are absolutely essential for a mans grilling experience.  We have just the thing for the grillin' men in our lives- Keurig K-cup steak marinade!

Let's get to the recipe...

You will need:

1.5lb. flat iron steak

1 Keurig K-cup coffee (extra bold, dark roasts work best!)

3 cloves of garlic, minced

1 tablespoon of ginger, minced

1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon mustard

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons olive oil pepper to taste

-Start by brewing your K-cup coffee on the lowest water setting of your Keurig, chill in the fridge for 1 hour.

-Combine everything but the steak in a bowl and whisk to mix well.

-Put the steak in the container you want to marinate it in. I used a plastic resealable baggie but you could use a seal able container.

-Add the marinade to the container with the steak and move it around to coat the steak.

-Marinate for 1 hour at room temperature. (For even more flavor you can marinate for longer in the refrigerator and then pull it out about a half hour before you want to cook it to take the chill off.)

-Heat the grill on medium high heat. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side for a medium rare temperature, feell free to adjust to your preference.

This makes a perfect Father's Day meal for all of the amazing dad's in our lives!
